We spent months visiting hospital pharmacies in Tier 2 cities before writing a single line of code. Here's what we found — and why it changed everything.

We went to Haryana before we had a product.
The standard playbook says: find a market, build an MVP, validate. We did something different. We sat at pharmacy counters. We watched. We talked to the chemist who's been running the same nursing home pharmacy for eleven years — on paper, on memory, and on instinct.
What we found wasn't a broken process waiting to be digitised. It was a deeply optimised system built around the real constraints of the environment: unreliable internet, handwritten prescriptions, no IT support, and owners who are simultaneously managing billing, stock, compliance, and customer queries — often alone.
If you walk in trying to replace that with a touchscreen dashboard that needs training and a stable Wi-Fi connection, you will be ignored. Rightfully so.
The real problems were never on any product roadmap.
When you ask a pharmacy owner what software they need, they'll often say "something for billing." But spend a few more hours there and the real friction surfaces: the expiry that wasn't caught until the shelf was half empty. The GST return reconstructed manually from a stack of handwritten bills every month. The reorder that happened a week too late because there was no alert.
These aren't edge cases. They are the daily reality of running a hospital pharmacy in a Tier 2 city. And no one had built software around them — because no one had looked closely enough.
